 As I reopen my studio I realize how much I need to upgrade before I can start filming Glitter-tastic, my online “how to” crafting show. The building my studio was in was foreclosed and I have moved everything around twice. So, now I need to build out my new space and put in a set for filming. Plus my electronics, oh my electronics, I would love to take a hammer to them and have lots of great pieces for collage. (They would be more useful in that state)
So I am taking to crowd funding to get everything up and running. But, this will not be a traditional campaign. I do enjoy a bit of humor. I mean if a guy on Kickstart can make $50K for making potato salad. You’ve got to love the freaking internet, I know I do. My Grandmother always told me how amazed she was I could make something from nothing. So, that’s what I’m doing. My Indiegogo campaign is funding NOTHING. I am taking a day off, a day of doing nothing. I’m offering some great perks for donating including the “I Funded Nothing” merchandise and some one of a kind artwork. I will do nothing for a whole day. Something I haven’t done since about 2003. All the funds I raise over what I will spend on doing nothing will go to making something. I will use them for my studio. So, if you enjoy my work and want to see more or have taken a class from me , which can run between $15 and $75 a class you will be able to see a new class each week online for free, plus tip and technique videos. If you can contribute the links to my campaign will be up Friday. The minimum donation is a $1 and you get a thank you on my website. If you can’t donate, that’s fine. There are other ways to help out. Share this campaign with your friends, family, the people on social media you think you know, but you’re not really sure, total strangers, the guy you keep running into at the gym, anyone really.
