Alexa Joy has been developing her unique style of abstract art since childhood. Having had her artwork first displayed in The Los Angeles City Hall Bridge Gallery at age 12. Alexa’s paintings, sculptures and paper craft creations have been in galleries and personal collections worldwide.
She has won over 50 awards including a 1st place award at the AFL-CIO Union Artist Exhibit, Best Professional Hand Crafter Award 2005 & 2006, and a SCAA Art Classic silver medal.

She was commissioned by The City of Santa Clarita for The Art in Public Places Program. Her piece was installed in Old Town Newhall and was on display for over 10 years, across from The Canyon Theatre Guild site of Alexa’s one woman art show “Abstractions”.
Locally she has won the Humanitarian Character Counts Award, co-coordinated Benefit Art Events and worked as a Float Decorator for The Tournament of Roses Parade. Alexa also hosts and designs all the projects for her DVD “Quick & Easy Crafting with Alexa Joy” based on her popular classes she has taught for over 15 years.
Alexa has been a Featured Craft Artist on various TV shows and has written for magazines, newspapers and blogs.
She has also been in the Retail Crafting Industry for almost 20 years as a Demo Artist, Buyer and Consultant. She was the Vice President / General Manager of the HMK Corp, which ran the Stamp Palace stores, before she opened her own online craft supply store.
Alexa is a member of The Hollywood Arts Council. She has been included in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who of American Women and Who’s Who in the World.
